Louise Lortie

Candidate in Marc-Aurèle-Fortin | District #19

A Marc-Aurèle-Fortin city councillor since 2021, Louise Lortie is known for her integrity, her active presence in the field, her ability to listen and her commitment to grassroots democracy. Before taking the plunge into municipal politics, she devoted a large part of her career to contributing to the development of education in Laval, notably as president of the Laval School Board. Laval School Board (CSDL) for 11 years.

She was also vice-president of the Fédération des commissions scolaires du Québec and a member of the steering committee for Laval's regional social development policy, as well as Culture Laval. Her rich career path has enabled her to develop solid expertise in public governance, strategic vision and in-depth knowledge of Laval's realities.

In love with her neighborhood, she believes in the potential of parks, trails, waterfronts and green spaces to strengthen the social fabric and foster collective well-being. With Parti Laval - Équipe Larochelle, Louise wishes to continue her contribution to offering efficient public services, strengthening the community fabric and building a city on a human scale, sustainable and focused on the real needs of its citizens.
