Valérie Rancourt

Candidate in Sainte-Dorothée | District #16

A native of Sainte-Dorothée, Valérie Rancourt holds a degree in political science with a minor in law and society, a certificate in law and is currently studying digital content creation and management.

She worked as a legal assistant at the Department of Justice Canada, got involved in provincial politics, sat on the Communauté jeunesse de Parti Laval and now wants to bring change to municipal politics in Laval.

Valérie grew up in a family with strong roots in Laval and a deep involvement in the island's sports scene, a commitment reflected in the renaming of the Samson arena in honor of her uncle Martin St-Louis. Strengthened by these roots and a strong sense of belonging, she now wishes to defend the interests of her community through proximity, integrity and transparency.

Confident, determined and committed, she aims to contribute to sustainable solutions in water management, adaptation to climate change and sound financial management, with a constant focus on meeting the expectations of the population.
