Frédérique Brunet-Maheu
Candidate in Marigot | District #05
A long-time resident of Laval, Frédérique Brunet-Maheu has over 20 years' experience in management, customer service and the prestige hotel industry, having held senior positions at Fairmont Hotels and HEC Montréal.
Growing up between Laval-des-Rapides and Marigot, she comes from a family deeply rooted in Laval's community, social and political circles. Her grandfather, Paul Marcel-Maheu, was a municipal councillor in the former Ville de Laval-des-Rapides from 1950 to 1959 and again from 1962 to 1965.
Organized, rigorous and solutions-oriented, Frédérique stands out for her ability to bring people together and create a climate of trust. She has always been involved in committees, with young people and in the school environment, and has sat on school and CPE boards, as well as participating in numerous community projects.
As a flood victim herself, she knows the urgency of taking action for public safety, infrastructure, sound management and quality of life. A go-getter who listens, she wants to make Le Marigot a safe, dynamic and welcoming neighborhood, while promoting better access to sports and leisure facilities in Laval.
