Laval, Wednesday, June 18, 2025 -<\/strong> On Wednesday morning, Parti Laval leader and mayoral candidate Claude Larochelle unveiled a first wave of candidates for the November 2, 2025 municipal elections. With this announcement, barely a week after the launch of a bold advertising campaign under the slogan \" Flat, flat, flat, but effective<\/em> \"The Marc-Aur\u00e8le-Fortin, Sainte-Rose, Laval-des-Rapides, L'Or\u00e9e-des-Bois and Saint-Martin districts will be filled, respectively, by Louise Lortie, Tommy Vall\u00e9e, Martine Lanoue, Julie Beaulieu and Aaron Rodriguez. \"These are five credible, efficient, people-oriented individuals with a proven track record who share our vision of a well-managed, humane and accessible city. People who also want to take care of real business,\" he adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Experienced and long-standing allies: Louise Lortie and Tommy Vall\u00e9e<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A Marc-Aur\u00e8le-Fortin city councillor since 2021, Louise Lortie is renowned for her thoroughness, her presence in the field and her genuine ability to listen. She has devoted a large part of her career to contributing to the development of education in Laval, notably as President of the School Board, and says she is proud to be seeking a second term in the district she holds so dear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \"I've been involved in Laval for many years and I'm concerned about the direction the city is taking, with basic services becoming less and less available. I want to continue to deliver concrete solutions, right now, for and with the citizens of Marc-Aur\u00e8le-Fortin. I want us to focus on the real priorities of the people of Laval, before anything else,\" explains the outgoing councillor, who is also campaign co-chair for Parti Laval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Parti Laval vice-president and president of its youth community, Tommy Vall\u00e9e, for his part, will be running in the Sainte-Rose district, the neighborhood where he grew up, studied, worked and campaigned. With a bachelor's degree in communications, psychology and political science and solid experience in municipal, political and union circles, Mr. Vall\u00e9e says he is driven by a desire to protect and enhance the French language in Laval, focus more on heritage protection issues, support the cultural community and accelerate housing construction to \"stem the exodus of young people\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n Three exceptional candidates to serve Laval: Martine Lanoue, Julie Beaulieu and Aaron Rodriguez<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n An engineer specializing in water management for over 25 years, Martine Lanoue has received numerous awards from the Ordre des ing\u00e9nieurs du Qu\u00e9bec, the American Water Works Association and R\u00e9seau Environnement, among others. She joins Parti Laval and will put her expertise at the service of Laval-des-Rapides, a district she knows like the back of her hand, and which the Mouvement lavallois won by less than 70 votes in 2021, just ahead of Parti Laval. <\/p>\n\n\n\n She has also completed a master's degree in chemical engineering, as well as a 2e<\/sup> cycle in public administration is keen to get involved in getting things moving in Laval when it comes to water management. \"In Laval, our water infrastructures and their management have been neglected for too long. When I'm elected, I'll make water a priority. It's an issue I know to my fingertips, that I'm passionate about, and for which I'm ready to act without delay. It's time to replace the ambition of the spectacular with that of rigor and efficiency,\" asserts the Parti Laval candidate in Laval-des-Rapides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In L'Or\u00e9e-des-Bois, the Parti Laval candidate will be Julie Beaulieu, a resident of the district for over 20 years, with a degree in computer technology and a certificate in business administration from UQAM's \u00c9cole des sciences de la gestion. Since 2018, she has also chaired the Fondation droit au talent, which supports young people in their musical and artistic projects, and is keen to become actively involved in improving local infrastructures and the quality of life in L'Or\u00e9e-des-Bois, one initiative at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Finally, in Saint-Martin, Aaron Rodriguez, an immigration lawyer, former reservist in the Canadian Armed Forces and holder of a bachelor's and master's degree in political science, will be running for Mr. Larochelle's team.
